Yilmaz Tunc reminded everyone that “Turkey is one of the countries that closely monitors developments in the world and uses technology in the best possible way. However, using technology in a negative way is never acceptable. Anyone who thinks about our country and our nation’s future, and is in a position of responsibility, should view such situations targeting our children with sensitivity, and stay away from populist and irresponsible rhetoric.” Quite right.

So, while this move by Turkish authorities may seem harsh, it appears to have been taken from a safety perspective.

Many of the most popular Roblox games are user-created, and this can give young people a way of expression, experimentation, and getting their foot in the door of an industry that traditional education could never easily open.
